Our architectural guidelines for future development in this planned community -- one of America's original garden cities -- focus on maintaining the distinctive features of the existing buildings, most particularly their respect for the pedestrian scale.  In addition to specifying matters of siting, materials, and articulation, we outlined a review and approvals process that, while not burdensome, protects the community's historic character.
